Approximately nine months ago I had lunch with a thirty-three-year-old male named Alexander who experiences severe depression, has relationship problems, and who is dependent on alcohol and drugs. As mentioned by Alexander, it is his alcohol and drug dependency and his extreme depression that had the most to do with his continual relationship difficulties.
